"I've always been the type of foodie who becomes enamored with one dish that's so memorable, I'm irresistibly drawn back to the restaurant to order it again. Often. Unfailingly, it's a dish I can't duplicate even if I manage to find a similar recipe, nor can I find at a competitor.

Fortunately, this is rare. It only happens in a restaurant where the chef serves exactly the same flavor combination and contrast of textures in a dish so satisfyingly unique, I can barely resist eating every last bite. And I found just such a magical place near my home in Pismo Beach.

Thai Talay, meaning "Thai-by-the-sea," is one of those rare restaurants that has me completely addicted. I can almost taste my favorite dishes just remembering them. Of course, that's not good enough."
